Those who say that there is no skill gap in valorant and any team can beat any team are don't really know anything about competitive valorant. How can they say something like that? In many regions a single team (minor regions) or several teams (major regions) have been dominating the scene for a long time.

SEA:
Xerxia (ex-X10) is the best team for a very long time in this region.
-VCT 2021 Stage 1 Thailand Challengers (7 February 2021)= 1st place
-VCT 2021 Masters 1 SEA (21 March 2021)= 1st place
-VCT 2021 Stage 2 Thailand Challengers (4 April 2021)= 1st place
-VCT 2021 Stage 2 SEA Finals (2 May 2021)= 1st place
-VCT 2021 Stage 3 Thailand Challengers (11 July 2021)= 1st place
-VCT 2021 Stage 3 SEA Finals (16 August 2021)= Because of dogshit format they were eliminated even though they never lost a match LOL
-Champions 2021= They beat Envy and took a map against Gambit in quarterfinals.
-VCT 2022 Stage 1 Thailand Challengers (27 February 2022)= 1st place
-VCT 2022 Stage 1 APAC Finals (27 March 2022)= Paper Rex on 1st place this time and Xerxia on 2nd.

Other dominant teams in this region are very clear and stable like Paper Rex, Full Sense, Team Secret (ex-Bren. but they didn't start well this year)...

JAPAN:
Crazy Raccoon and Zeta Division (ex-Absolute Jupiter) are always on top for a very very long time.
-First Strike Japan (6 December 2020)= Zeta Division on 1st place.
-VCT 2021 Masters 1 Japan (21 March 2021)= Crazy Raccoon on 1st place and Zeta Division on 2nd.
-VCT 2021 Stage 2 Japan Finals (2 May 2021)= Crazy Raccoon on 1st place and Zeta Division on 2nd.
-VCT 2021 Stage 3 Japan Finals (15 August 2021)= Zeta Division on 1st place and Crazy Raccoon on 2nd.
-VCT 2022 Stage 1 Japan Finals (27 March 2022)= Zeta Division on 1st place and Crazy Raccoon on 2nd.

KOREA:
Actually no need to say much about this region. Its pretty clear. DRX (ex-Vision Strikers) is always on top except stage 2.
-First Strike Korea (6 December 2020)= DRX on 1st place
-VCT 2021 Masters 1 Korea (21 March 2021)= DRX on 1st place and Nuturn on 2nd.
-VCT 2021 Stage 2 Korea Finals (2 May 2021)= Nuturn on 1st place.
-VCT 2021 Stage 3 Korea Finals (8 August 2021)= DRX on 1st place.
-VCT 2022 Stage 1 Korea Finals (27 March 2022) = DRX on 1st place.

LATAM:
KRU is the king but Leviatan (ex-Australs) are always there too.
-VCT 2021 Masters 1 LATAM (21 March 2021)= Australs on 1st place.
-VCT 2021 Stage 2 LATAM Finals (13 May 2021) = KRU on 1st place.
-VCT 2021 Stage 3 LATAM Finals (21 August 2021) = KRU on 1st place and Australs on 2nd.
-VCT 2022 Stage 1 LATAM Finals = The final will most likely be between this two teams.

This are minor regions. I wont write about major regions (NA, EMEA, BRAZIL) because i am tired :) and i think you already know. of course not one or two teams like minor regions but still just a few teams are dominating this regions too. Sentinels won everything in its region last year. And Optic (ex-Envy), 100Thieves, XSET etc. are always near the top. I think EMEA is also pretty consistent too. Acend, TL, Fnatic, G2, Gambit are the best ones mostly. And Guild is always gatekeeper like XSET in NA. For Brazil, in the first half of last year Vikings was dominant team then a few more powers rose.

In conclusion, this is not a game where anyone can beat anyone. The skill gap in this game is already more than r6, overwatch etc. and will increase overtime. I think for a few years few teams will emerge that lose against each other and are otherwise undefeated.

Just overact because their favorite teams lose and denied other teams effort. Paper Rex/Xerxia still top APAC teams. Vision strikers still top KR team. Zeta/CR still top JP teams. Vivokeyd/ Loud (with core exVikings) still top BR teams

Wdym? Skill gap is definitely very low when you compare to a game like r6. You have mentioned lot of stuff and skill gap isn't the main reason for dominance.
Moreover, we only know few teams because of fewer number of tournaments

well if skill gap isnt the main reason of dominance what is it? You should look at Chess. Billions of people play that game but you can say who is the best easily. This is because of the extreme skill gap.

It's mainly team coord diff. Individually, there are lot of play makers but as a team, it just doesnt work out well.

Won't tell that valo has no skill gap, it definitely has. But comparing it to a well established game like r6 is rubbish. Skill gap in r6 is very huge when you compare it to valo. Maybe, valo will achieve it in next 2-3 years, but rn valo is nowhere near r6 in skill diff

nope. The difference between those who have played the game for a long time and those who are just starting out is not important. The difference between those who have already played the game for a long time is important. For r6 it may be more difficult for beginners to reach the level of long-time players than valorant. It is not because of the skill gap it is because of the there is more material to learn in the game. Chess is an easy-to-learn game with few rules but has extremely high skill gap. so just because it's easier doesn't mean it takes less skill

so you just ignore the fact same teams still dominate their regions in very long period and just give your opinion base on your own right?

Half of the mentioned regions have very less csgo pros. Most of the valo pros are just highly experienced csgo pros. When there are only handful of players, only the best combination dominates. Other teams who give tough competition do have few experienced csgo pros, but not a sudded players.

This dominance in minor region will only end if next generation of valorant pros(who didn't come from CS) which I assume will be in next 2-2.5 years. Thats when we will see real valorant skill.
