So from what I understand, Russian Visas to Iceland have been cancelled, as of now due to the political climate. (If this is incorrect someone please let me know). As a result, unfortunately, that may lead to Fnatic BraveAF will not be able to join Fnatic in Iceland.

This for me highlights the question, why did they not get some experience for Otom in the guild vs fanatic game. The consequences aren't massive and if we have to play him leading into Iceland wouldn't that be very very important.

My initial idea was that Fnatic is very much like the dark horse secret and cheesy tactical gameplay. This brought them much success in Champions.

Furthermore, they could also be wanting to get that first win to guarantee qualification to Masters and use as much prep time as possible.

Would love to hear your guys' thoughts.
Also if Boaster or Yinsu see this I'm a big fan!!!

So I was told this about Visas, "The Government of Iceland has also decided to suspend visa facilitation for Russian officials, business people, parliamentarians, diplomats and others such parties A bilateral visa facilitation agreement from 2008 between Iceland and Russia allowed for the simplified procedure. The decision to suspend the agreement is in line with EU‘s decision on 25 February to partially suspend its visa facilitation agreement with Russia. The Ministry for Foreign Affairs notified the decision to the Russian Ambassador who was called to the Ministry."

Canceled only simplified procedure to get visa, but you still can get visa. Only problem is flying but just come to other close country and fly from there. Chill and dont stress about it

Pretty sure there is some solution to avoid this. If not then basically 5/6 teams from EMEA Playoffs will be affected by this. Ex-GAMBIT 5 RUS players, FNC 1(Derke with fin passport so we count only braveaf ), Guild 1(trexx), G2 (coach Pipson), FPX 2(shao suygetsu). Only team that not affected is TL 👀

Also from NA V1 wippie cant fly to iceland again if there is no compromise lmao

It's possible that he can't go due to visa complications- and that's most likely- but in these times not even riot knows if their players can go to Iceland, it's a new situation and everyone is trying to work through it together

I have HEARD that Riot is trying to work with iceland gov to get an appeal for russian players getting visas. IDK if it is true or not. Worst case they play from a facility in their home country for masters.

That is a scary possibility, we saw what playing separately did to optic gaming (envy) when one player had to isolate during the tourney.
