what do u qualify as 'doing well' because they have to start in stage 1, get through that into stage 2, somehow get through stage 2 into stage 3 (where the top tier teams start) and SOMEHOW get through that into winning playoffs without dropping a single series. they were already unlikely to make the major at all so to win the major would be near impossible
