Guys do you think that watching vlr pro matches is boring ? I personally watch only the teams/players that I like so i'm a bit ''excited'' by the game, if it's just a ''normal'' game I don't last 5 rounds

personally I enjoy almost every match, specially if its international lans, I wouldnt watch a bbl vs smb/eg vs knight something like that where quality of play is low and players arent great either but almost every other match in vct I would

I still enjoy watching any pro matches as long as it's a close game or the teams are not dogshit and/or trolling. International match ups are the best for storylines and different playstyles. Watching favorite teams is like a rollercoaster, if they win it's super happy but if they lose it's sad so sometimes I skip watching Liquid and Acend if they are trolling.

I usually put vlr pro matches on my second monitor and porn on my main monitor. 10/10 would do it again. It's a mix of exciting and boring, good for long lasting session.

I heard that point a lot from ''Shroud carry viewership'' and now ''Tarik carry'' lmao both gain insane viewership by doing watchparty not opposite. You're talking like Tarik average 60k viewership a day or sth. If he don't do watchparty, viewership will shift to main channel. And of course less people watch the games between 2 ''less-popular'' teams or teams they don't like, same with traditional sports. Like me Liverpool fan, I don't watch all EPL matches lmao

That's the point, ofc streamers have a benefit of streaming vct but valorant has aswell since it gives visibility to the game. But tbh i'm not sure that Tarik's vierwership will go to the mainstream if he plays while the official stream hosts a game(probably a small part but I think he would keep away a part of the viewership)

Hard to watch most matchs cuz of life lmao but important matches like liquid vs big yesterday i try to watch in real time, others like APAC matches which are very hard to watch because of what time they are played in/most of the times teams arent that good so i watch vods on yt.

if I like a team or player in match, the match is fun. otherwise, not really - with the exception of very close matches.

it's the same with any sport, though.

I talked base on numbers, Tarik viewership 15k, his watchparties 50k-60k so at least 30k-40k will shift to main channels. Thats fact base on real numbers, same with Shroud, dude now have like 15k average viewership streaming Lost Ark

Nah it does not mean that the 45k will go to the mainstreams if they were not on Tarik's stream .. but yeah a part of those 15k would probably do it but we don't know how much xd

don't know how much and you still said that ''Tarik carry Val viewership'' while I just gave you numbers to prove that you're wrong. You see Shroud-the OG Tarik dude used to have 200k peak viewership doing Val watchparties, now what ?? Val Esport bring them viewership, not ''them carry viewership''

Naaah you are missing the whole point. Firstly it was kind of a joke when I said that, ofc it's not litteral. Now you give me numbers and I appreciate it but i'm spitting facts. I agree with the numbers, but they does not imply that ppl who go to Tarik stream to watch pro matches will go to the mainstream if Tarik isn't streaming, and that's a fact.

So i like the numbers but you can't deduct so much things just based on 2 numbers

Yeah, but the main driven for them to watch Tarik watchparty still Val Esport right ?? main channel casters maybe ass but Val matches still attract viewership themself

Especially, how can you know how much comes for Tarik and won't watch the game whithout watachparties and how much comes just for the game no matter who streams ? You get what I mean ? Numbers are great but they aren't the reflect of the reality behind the choice of watching games or not

Yeah, its boring to me too. Sometimes its impossible to understand who did good in bigger fights during the round when so much stuff is happening. You dont know if a team that came out on top did good and thats why they won the choke point or did other made big mistakes. Of course its not the case with all rounds, but the thing that everybody has different abilities and which are still at their disposal makes it hard to follow too closely. And when you cant follow the strategic side of the game, you can only see who aims better so yeah, takes a lot of fun from watching the game. There are not too many strong personalities either when you think about it, not many players made their names yet and almost all the most interesting ones are still from cs lol. Asuna and tenz are the biggest exceptions even though they played cs for a while. 100t is out, not sure what I will watch in masters lol if anything. Koreans are always interesting to watch though. Maybe some other kru-like fluke will happen, that always makes it more interesting

I watch most if not all games during major LANs.

Online? Don't really see a reason to watch games of teams for which I don't care. I mean, I still watch all games of G2 + teams with PL players, so Acend, LDN and now FPX, so I guess that's plenty already.

I used to get bored very easily earlier, and even now I can't watch all the matches. I only watch matches of renowned teams in hopes of learning something new. Try watchparties if you get bored. Watching with friends is much more fun.
