Bonker will probably not even make it out of groups. You have 0 knowledge on the region and a fake flag on top of that lol.

How is it better than NA? Two teams made it out of groups throughout the whole year and got first rounded, not to mention Team Secret had a very shit group.

Clearly better than NA

If you are really an esport fan,
SEA is clearly better than NA as a whole region
SEA just behind EMEA
KR - 1/2 team region
BR - sama rank as NA

Better than JP, close to NA, will take time to get to the level of EMEA

Xerxia and PRX/Boom top 2 master qualifiers imo

APAC has multiple sub regions like Thailand,Vietnam,MY/SG,Indonesia,South Asia,Philippines and now OCE too
there are many favourites rn and the competition is very stiff
Teams with most chance of qualifying (based on recent and past performances ) are :
Xerxia (Thailand)
Full Sense (Thailand)
PRX (MY/SG)
Expecting an amazing performance from PH and SA too
note- only 2 teams can qualify to masters (bonkers and who?)
edit-Boom from Indonesia is also one among the favourites

pretty good, a really nice aim show and pretty good teamwork too, overall i would say better than JP and KR, but not better than EU maybe a little bit bellow NA though
I think the teams that will qualify for masters are
-Paperrex
-Xerxia

I personally think APAC to be 2nd after emea, slightly better than NA, KR is a very unstable region, apart from DRX (former VS) no team has yet proven much on international stages

a lot has changed since iceland masters, back then SentinL's were #1 team in the world but now?

u say that as if apac has performed well? made playoffs in only of the 3 international lans

#23
sueYA
2
Frags

in masters 1 only X10 competed (they were super inexperienced compared to other teams back then) yet performed decent
in masters 2 only PRX was able to compete (bren couldnt make it to berlin) and they put up a good fight against SMB who were on their prime then and also had a much closer fight with DRX ( VS back then) than your emea acend could put up
and for champions 3 apac teams qualified and 2 of them qualified to playoffs meanwhile only 1 from NA could, APAC has always had lesser representatives and yet did well meanwhile regions like BR,JP and NA had multiple slots to each lan event and yet didnt perform well

quarter finals at the toughest competition ever, not masters where there were waaaaay less competition
again as I said Sentinels did win masters 1 but do you think they will this time? based on their current form thats a big fat NO

youre actually braindead. all masters and champions events had the best of the best teams at their respective times. and u wanna know what the funny thing is? sea went as far as na did in champions. consistency > 1 time wonder. we will see next masters if sea is all that

  1. EU playstyle hard counters SEA playstyle since we rely a lot more on fast executes and EU plays more slow, KR is debatable while JP is....
  2. APAC is very unpredictable, just take lcq and ts for example, its hard to tell which teams will come out on top in this region
however the most consistent ones and also the favourites are probably XERXIA (TH) , PAPER REX (SG) but the teams i think will qualify are probably BOOM(hot take) and XERXIA

#33

it is bro at this point. Based on champions, SEA teams equally stable to NA and now I think SEA is a better region. The competition here is demon, imagine many countries and continents fighting for only 2 slots for masters.

1 tournament. In masters SEA did shit and NA always was clearly better. Plus in champs only 2 SEA teams (one of them in an easy group) got to quarters either

Apac has a lot of trap setups in defense and structured utility attacks, they are loose but has some emea thinking

Everyone in here who thinks SEA>NA is so retarded, get a grip, SEA'S only win over NA was over a weak Envy where Victor was playing like shit, I don't think they have any win over a major region other than that

#40

Imo

EMEA>>>>>NA>>>KR>SEA>LATAM(one team region so far, need to see how leviatan perform internationally)>BR>JP

#63

how do you rank latam low because of one team region, but kr as one team region too higher than sea. even in apac lcq full sense destroyed nuturn 13-0 and damwon 13-1

#65
WiseGorbachev

Frags

Nuturn at Reykjavik and VS at berlin put us respectable results compared to SEA at those 3 events, SEA only got to playoffs at champs though freelo VKS and a decent win over NV, then TS got sat down by acend and gambit beat x10 comfortably 2-1, the only map they dropped which was ascent which they already had like a 5 game losing streak on and even dropped it to KRU the next day, overall last year KR performed way better

#64
GznG
0
Frags

also emea isnt that far, prx, xerxia, team secret managed to take 1 map out of emea teams. gambit and acend almost lost to vikings and vivo keyd respectively, and even crazy racoon managed to pull an overtime in master against gambit

#66
WiseGorbachev

NO WAY A MAP🙀🙀🙀🙀
PRX took a map off SMB 14-12 who were joke fucking onliners anyways but still got rolled 13-2 after that
TS caught gambit off guard in their first game of the event, then got their tits fucked 13-0 after
The only actual comfortable map win they had was x10 over gambit on ascent 13-7 but that was legit gambit worse map, they were on like a 7 map losing streak on it I think and dropped it to KRU the day after as well, just so delusional that were brining in map wins because everyone knows they can't stick with emea through a whole series

#67
GznG

im not saying we're comparable to emea, im just saying that emea is not that far away, especially that apac is much more competitive. if we compare the result in reykjavik and now apac is the most improved region. given the playercount (indonesia and philippines alone makes the 10% of the global playercount) the future is looking good for apac

Top NA ~> Top APAC = Top KR > Average NA = Top JP > Average SEA = Average KR> Average JP.

NA has a lot more depth. APAC has great top teams, but a lot of rough teams partially due to the disparity in skill within SEA regions (HK/TW, SA in particular). IMO, the top APAC teams like the top NA teams are contenders for VCT events.

Korea has had a severe problem in their depth for a while. Finally, it seems there is at least one or two other teams that may consistently challenge DRX (VS).

JP has improved, however, it seems their reliance on import players may be causing problems. ZETA has looked impressive.

APAC is better than jp but has a lot more quality teams than kr. Teams are not as structured as NA or EU but the players have some of the most amazing aim.

PRX and Xerxia are definitely the top teams right now so i suggest watching their games as a starting point into getting to know the scene. In APAC anybody can beat anyone so prepare for some upsets
