We didn’t. He chose not to resign I’m pretty sure. Even if we did, he has been unconfidant and has had poor calling recently. Valyn is still a top 3 of my favorite players.

The 2 players being Jawgemo and Babybay, the clear underperfomers this year, not the literal dude that IGL'ed your team to every event
everybody underperformed, idk if somebody did worse or better than other, but i agree on babybay and jaw. I will say tho that valyn is also a solid choice because the igl dictates the playstyle as well, and these guys clearly cant keep up internationally. it makes sense why they decided to change valyn, u cant say that they made it to events, when they literally hang from a thread everytime they qualify

Shanghai - 2nd Seed, Seoul - 2nd seed, Bangkok - 1st seed, Toronto - 1st seed, Paris - 1st seed, Santiago - 2nd seed, London - 1st seed. Shanghai Champs is the first time G2 has qualifed as the 4th seed but yeah i agree they hang on by a thread EVERYTIME you got us there
These guys cant keep up internationaly because we have a 30 year old caster thats taking up Leaf's main role and underperforming harding than Leaf ever would on it. Not everybody underperformed. It will never make sense to drop the most valuable player of your region.
you cant possibly call this a W when they qualify and do NOTHING with the seed. just accept that g2 is not making it unless they make big changes. i get that its ur favorite org but ur putting the whole blame on babybay when the whole team is serving fries at least every few games this year. First you say they barely qualify now you say they dont do anything with it. The only event G2 has bombed out of London and yeah they fucked it, but thats it. Theyve never placed below Top8.
PRX lost 2 grand finals and fumbled so many events before they won 1, they were the "chockers" of VCT before Toronto and now its G2.
The Big changes were supposed to be -Jawgemo for a good young duelist -Babybay for an actual Flex player that wasnt limited to 3 agents. Thats it. Valyn was never the problem. Babybay was amazing regionally but sucked dick Internationally, sure the whole team didnt perform as good as they did back home when they were on the international stage but Babybay took amplified that by 2x.
They are not gonna keep Jawgemo, i love jawgemo but he is not it. Theyre gonna get the first chance at a good player as soon as the offseason officially starts
It depends on their goals, im assuming their goal is to win an event. and i really think they aint doing that in their previous form. they just dont have the mindset or vibes to do it, its just how it is. jawgemo as u said is not it, but i think an IGL also has to be changed if the team has been playing great once in a while and still be capped strategy wise. we have only seen G2 outplay teams that werent playing smart enough. any intelligent team going against them and they either win mechanically or fall apart
