ask me anything
i think as a small y it’s pretty ok it’s unassuming and doesn’t have that many niche uses
the problem is when it comes as a big Y because if youve ever written a big Y you know youll somehow always manage to write it too big. and when do you ever start a sentence with a Y anyway other than like You or Yes.
do you see the way it towers over those other letters.
so imo it’s a bit like an english teacher, depending on the day you either get a monster or a nice small letter y
oh i like the way you think
you see, up until this point i always looked at the letter y and thought that it couldn’t help but feel superior to other letters. like it had an unshakeable ego.
“oh yeah, i’m one of the few letters that replaces a whole commonly used word. y use ‘why’?” you know what i mean?
but you’ve opened my eyes a little bit here, i didnt consider the difference between a capital and a normal y
Y seems to give off more of a standoffish vibe. like “Y?”
meanwhile y seems to give off a more submissive or relaxed vibe. like “y?”
truly exquisite distinction made by you
this was an enlightening discussion
