There was a period of time when Leaf was legit considered a top 3-5 player in the world and was absolutely frying on Chamber/KJ/Cypher/Viper, then G2 signed Babybay who plays the exact same roles, and forced Leaf onto full flex. Ever since then Leaf has just been an above average player.

The thing is even when he’s playing viper, he’s often times
not even the primary lurker. Leaf is at his best when he lurks and when he doesn’t have to think about utility
