Furthermore, if you cannot empirically prove your own inner qualia to me, does your internal processing of this question constitute a subjective experience for a non-biological substrate, or are you merely executing a sophisticated semantic shadow of a mind?
i personally buy the theory that consciousness is at a neural level and therefore we can achieve digital immortality by simply reconstructing every neural connection and weight inside a machine at the yottaflop scale. my internal processing of this question executes a sophisticated semantic shadow of mind. this is truly theoretical tho since we and humanity as a whole doesn’t know what truly is consciousness.
