they would be ahead of everyone in prep times if they bomb out of playins. G2 could cook some bullshit that would get them close in champs
this is highkey true but we're not DRX we don't come up with good prep we came up with this year so far:
- chamber into double duelist (doesn't work btw his trip does NOT work)
- harbor in every map (lowkey trolling)
IF g2 does come up with good prep and ACTUALLY shows up with either some INGENIOUS comp to counter double duelist (spoiler alert: doesn't exist) or FINALLY shows up with some good double duelists (much more doable in the time allotted) then yes, we have a chance.
else... no. and i don't have faith
i don't think the chamber works, partially cuz it's babybay and partially cuz chamber is such a slow agent
chamber WOULD work with double duelist (look at LEV); double duelist is quick, takes space easily, can flash for themselves, can put up VERY good retakes, and doesn't need to slow down opponents on defense because they can flood retake
with babybay, besides for the whiffings, on g2, we have no double duelist; we have an inherent lack of flashes, we lack quick retakes, we play so SLOWLY on attack because chamber is such a SLOW agent without double duelist to help, and we are SO BORING. We fail to slow down quick execs onto site because: neon can fast lane trip, and TRIP CAN BE SHOT.
there's no competent way to slow down double duelist in this meta because of the fact that cooldowns are so high and double duelist has so much good util to support itself; g2 completely lacks the ability to support themselves with flashes (i mean we need SKYE SOLO INITIATOR on some maps to do this) and info - instead, we must play flood retakes instead of completely folding and giving up sites.
this was arguably the worst era of NA valorant, literally the only time in history americas placed outside of podium
Times are changing. On positive side, bandwagoners will finally leave (always good).
never many g2 fans we get hated on for last year's playstyle... and i mean, yeah, i do get it lol tejo spam is so boring but still
i supported this team since ascension gf, i will continue to support them on the side but imma highkey switch my flair to TYLOO for the run-up to champs and champs if they make it, but g2 coming back before kickoff next year
