might play ranked (or valorant in general) tmr for the first time in 4 months. what should i know as a former d3 player? this the tracker: https://tracker.gg/valorant/profile/riot/Dudhi%23undef
for context the last time i took the game seriously was probably like the end of 2025 so like v25 a6 and v26 a1 i think (kind of just fucked around and didn't really try improving all too much after that until i stopped playing because of exams, research, summer school, etc.)

so like what agents are cooked
what maps i should keep an eye out for and what sides are weird

i think i used to main ini and smokes but had the occasional sentinel game (used to play some kj too)

like plat players are legit brainless

but yeah you're right im gonna get put in like plat 2 or sum and hopefully blast to diamond 1

util nerfs has made brain alot less valuable. ur mechanics are too rusty to be diamond still ngl. i think u will be back to plat and then u can quickly get back to diamond. you have to remmember that rank reset happened so some plats are prob diamonds like u

i was just playing on a good setup until i had to move away from the local pc cafe

now im back to no mousepad and the thinkpad laptop

on solo queue for the entire time too check the encounters

He isn’t a duelist so of course his tracker is usually gonna be worse.

If anything, having good tracker score and being hard stuck is way worse.

Imagine this:

Guy A manages to punch above his weight to reach diamond solo queue but has horrible tracker score.

Guy B is plat solo queue and has a s tier tracker score yet can never reach diamond no matter how hard he tries.

I would rather have guy A cuz he is clearly doing smth to help the team win more often that guy B.

iirc i was spamming sova fade when i had like a 750 tracker in v25 a6. my round win % and KAST was pretty good so i'd like to think i was being a good teammate (tbf i was also ending up in some low elo lobbies sometimes)

so maybe i should just try a more serious aim warmup for this more mechanics-oriented meta

What the hell does duelist have anything to do with anything lmfaooo, you can have a 0.9 kd on any agent and i would call you boosted, if you cant punch above 1.0 average from all you are games you are legit heavy weight.
especially on ini/ controller where you tend to die a lot less.

Guy A is clearly boosted and lucky and Guy B is Getting unlucky Guy A's in his team

if stats is all u care about, then u clearly dk that other factors are important in winning a game. the reason guy b is still stuck in plat is because he doesn’t do enough to win games. good stats from no impact kills like exit frags and baiting doesn’t mean u are good

???? stats is literally what decides whether a game is won or not, a team with 14 FB is gonna win more than the team with 5 FB, the team with the guys fragging out the most is gonna win , you are not an insane sova player if you scan 2 guys backsite every round, you are an insane sova player if you can get 2 after doing all that , just because you are doing your basic job "smoking" "scanning""holding flank" doesnt give you the right to go turbo double negative and blame it on the duelist at the end of the game, its just cope created by terrible players that duelists need to go 25/15 every game lmfao.
