Who are your regions top 5 "star players" and IGL's? Or the best in each class (Duelist, Initiator, Controller, Sentinel) but that involves more work lol

In-Game Leaders:

  1. Ethan
  2. Valyn
  3. kiNgg
  4. vora
  5. johnqt

Honorable mention: erde

Star Players:

  1. aspas
  2. zekken
  3. OXY
  4. jawgemo
  5. Cryocells

Honorable mention: Neon

twin jawgemo ain't even the 3rd best player on g2 is this like an all time ranking or a current ranking

top 5 rn:
Neon (alt: valyn)
Sato (alt: Asuna)
Aspas (alt: mada)
Cryo (alt: skuba)
(hate me later) trent (alt: brawk)

i wanted to choose mada out of any nrg player but hard to choose one that really stands out; their team has a GREAT system and works nearly flawlessly together, but as a sum they're never the best at roles but always second best (note i chose a smoker, secondary duelist, entry/main duelist, sentinel/flex, and an intiator). Asuna is the 3rd best player in americas rn in my opinion (neon, sato ahead); unfortunate for him that he shares the same role as sato

Are you from the Americas or EMEA region? I was trying to get people to rank their own region's best but it's whatever lol

Hard to say he's really a good IGL when his entire accomplishments are one top 3 at an international and playing well in China.

I also don't think aspas deserves to be in this list, Asuna or Sato, one or the two. Aspas have had a great downfall unfortunately.

He's looking right a one trick right now unfortunately it's really hard to justify him.

spike is a onetrick he's still great; neon is so good rn at breaking angles (her wall, and her general speed + stun which can hit from almost impossible angles otherwise), she's the perfect entry duelist to setup ur teammates, particularly a self-sufficient secondary duelist like a phoenix or the yorus of old

#13

yeah but sato and asuna are secondary duelists (phoenix almost always); they follow after the neon who makes space for them (spikezin on lev); yes, they put up insane numbers, but they're put into a position to trade and succeed, with self-sufficient util (heals, molly, wall to cut off angles, flash others); entry duelists will smoke themselves/wall themselves in, but they usually are a crosshair breaker and lack sufficient self-util to get frags, compared to a phoenix; so, they're bait in other words; require team to help them

mada, aspas, etc. are entry duelists - and aspas does a GREAT job this year on entry to set zekken up; he makes space, and the threat of THE aspas distracts almost everyone, letting zekken get free kills, and aspas isn't even a deadweight bait. I'm really impressed with aspas's play this year, i think the baitpas era is gone. So I'd still have him at entry duelist, him or mada. It's not the same as secondary

well yes my friend, they are the star players, not the entry players. For some reason the person who wrote this, wrote "star players" not entry players.

i just gave the best in each class lol oops. I tried to give an ideal team, not necessarily the 5 best players cuz that would be like neon duelist duelist duelist duelist by stats LOL

yeah I understand and hear you. that's why I wanted to talk about Asuna in the list.

I haven't seen Neon perform at the highest level (and with consistency) long enough but he's really good you're right my bad.

Yeah, Neon this year is the frontrunner for rookie of the year. Nobody comes close.

Honorary mention to brawk, this year he's had an average of 1.24 on initiator. Only basic has higher but that's because he didn't play as much as games brawk did. Trent and Verno are also frontrunners but brawk is way clear out of everyone in Americas.

i'd say trent is a better initiator than brawk, but that's up to taste but my problem with brawk is his intiator agent pool is SO shallow. On maps where fade is preferred, he doesn't play fade; he makes ethan play fade and he does vyse (lotus), or tejo even. If more fade maps came into the pool (corrode mainly), he can't keep playing sht thats not fade. How can you be the best initiator if you can't play the T-1 initiator right now? (ofc fade and sova are at top, skye/kayo probably 2nd although they have very different uses)

I understand that but here's the statistic truth my friend. Brawk in 2026 has averaged 1.20, trent has average 1.12, little difference, but here's the truth. Against top tier opponents, Brawk has averaged 1.15 and trent average at 1.09. Only player that beats trent in this category is unexpectedly Eeiu at a 1.10.

I didn't list Keiko because he wasn't born in or has citizenship in the Americas region but I should have worded it differently I suppose.

Everyone is born in a geographic region and all I asked is who are the best from your region and if you think it's weird that's all on you lol

#34
kyousukeluvr

yeah and keiko does count as americas region so that's why I said, I just found the idea of having "citizenship" very weird

#35
soduk
0
Frags

Well I just meant from the region as in born but I decided to add "or citizenship" because of players like keiko who was born in Port Louis, Mauritius but grew up and gained citizenship in the UK, and FNS who was born in Tanzania but grew up in Canada.

untrue. valyn has still been one of the best controllers in america + igl. babybay's own agent picks are limiting him.
