I will heal it instantly so you can write 50 chapters this year. The current arc's structure is magnificent and the dark continent's potential is limitless. I know you've been busy reading AOT and playing dragon quest, but it's time to change anime forever. Yours truly, Netero.

Yeah I really liked classroom of the elite, haven't read the light novel but the source material purists were mad about the anime adaptation lol.

Believe in Togashi. Believe in the power of media. Believe in HunterXHunter.

And endure. Some may lose hope, but you must not. Some may cry out in anger, but you must not. Some may even become naysayers, but you must not.

Live for a better tomorrow. One with consistent HxH releases. HxHchads, don't give up

Togashi literally is Just thinking How he Can make another epic chimera Ant saga. But perfection takes time.

I had a discussion with ZoldyK for over an hour whether HxH will return
And final the conclusion we came to was "Fuck Togashi"

Fortunately we both moved to manhwas and wuxia novels

Life is good now

Same watched the entire thing and i think its overrated as hell. Its ur typical shounen with nothing remarkable to offer.

Please do enlighten me then. Literally the only thing i found HALF decent was the chimera ant arc and the majority of characters had 1 dimensional motives with not much depth to them.

I mean I definitely wouldn’t say nothing to offer, I think the character design and animation is nice but If anything it’s definitely overhyped in the main stream

I would argue it actually subverts shonen tropes, it doesn't rely on flashbacks to explain characters. All of the characterization you get happens in real time. I would say the nen system is remarkable in itself, but using this kind of terminology to describe storytelling can make anything sound bad. Does anything "remarkable" happen in Breaking Bad? Not necessarily, still an amazing work of fiction. I would also go as far as to say HxH has the best villains in shonen, rather than the common take over the world type villains, HxH has villains like Hisoka, Pariston, and tseriaddnich who are essentially sociopaths. They operate out of sheer pleasure or self-fulfillment rather than any typical shonen villain motives. Don't even get me started on the amazing character development of Meruem, or the interesting dynamics between the phantom troupe, who are all unique and bring their own ideals and philosophy when handling situations. Shonen villain groups rarely have inner conflict, there's alot of realism in it. If it was a typical shonen, the main 4 protagonists would prob be together throughout the main series, but they separate because they all have their own goals and motives. Also HxH has the most diversity in terms of tone, it's not pure chaos throughout the whole series like Death note or AOT. I disagree with calling things overrated simply because you don't like it, I thought Your Lie in April was the worst shit I've ever seen in my life but there's obviously a reason why so many people like it, it's just not for me.

Sure the characterisation happens in real time, but once established remains rigid and fixated. If we talk about the main cast, their motives and intentions remain more or less constant throughout the show. Kurapika's entire personality is just 'revenge' for his clan and leorio..i dont think he even has a real purpose other than being a comic relief in the show. Gons entire initiative is to find his dad, and killua is the edgy badass teen who likes to hang around gon (he probably has the most interesting background and does grow and learn how friendships work). The villians are actually the most TYPICAL villains u can find in a show. No real convictions, they're just used as either a plot device or as a 'conflict' for the main characters to overcome (i enjoyed hisokas appearance tho). Muruem is probably the only character who goes through some changes and shifts from his original ideals. Other than that the only redeemable moment in that arc was the emotional climax at the end of it the rest was mostly mediocre fighting and invasion. I think phantom troupe as a group of villains had a lot of potential. Like u said they have their own philosophies and ideals when handling situations but they feel very forgettable (i dont even remember most of them). The arcs in hxh feel unrelated as they have almost 0 correlation to each other and may present the plot as inconsistent(but personally am not against this sort of story telling as long as it works). Also something that annoys me how every piece of information is spoon fed to the viewer to the point where u can just turn off ur brain and still understand whats happening (typical of shounen i daresay). Overall obviously am not against people liking it if they like this sort of genre they can do whatever they want, but it is no way a masterpiece as they call it.
