Yea you see these cringe immortals / radiants making new iron account for challanges. this really ruins the game for everyone else who plays the game who isn't smurfing.
Lets say you are 9 rr away from Gold but the opponents have a wannabe "iron to radiant" streamer like Keeoh / Timmy and shatters your goal of gold.
How would you feel?

there are always going to be smurfs no matter what, there isnt shit anyone can do about it, so sitting there complaining about it instead of trying to improve is doing nothing for you. some games are just unwinnable and you gotta accept that, so focus on the games you can win that dont have smurfs

the hidden mmr makes it basically impossible for smurfs to be in low elo games for very long, every alt i have had has been in immortal games at plat 3 so chances are most of the "smurfs" you are getting are just people having good days or people who just have good aim but are braindead

valorant did the right thing banned itztimmy and then for some reason unbanned him when he ruined other peoples games in 2 ways:
paid for an acc that a thrower did to get to iron (BREAKING TOS)
immortal level player playing in iron, you know what is going next

most people here are on the younger side so they probably wouldn't get this but

a lot of people don't have the time to grind 3-4-5 games of ranked a day to climb, they just get one game in every once in a while to just chill and have fun (in a competitive environment)

wasting an hour of your day meant to be for relaxation against some random smurf playing 4 ranks below is pretty miserable

if u lost elo because of a smurf u probably will get it back when there is a smurf on your team
soo if u deserve it u will eventually get back to that rank

well really it's more likely you play a smurf if you're not smurfing. since you're not smurfing, there's 4 slots on your team to be smurfs and 5 on the other team. About 44% you get a smurf on your team and 56% you get a smurf on the other team.

There’s a 50/50 chance that a smurf ends up on your team vs the enemy team, so I don’t worry about it too much. Even though it’s a scummy and selfish thing to do. People are quick to blame smurfs on the other team but rarely realize that their top frag could be smurfing.

idk if this would help if somone smurfes but i would find it good if there would be a more level based matchmaking in ranked so that for example g1 that are like level 100 would play against other g1 players that are level 100 so it would be more likely that smurfes would play against each other and people that aktivly play the game would play against each other

How are you supposed to learn new agents? like... I am a sova / cypher main and if I pick viper at my current ELO I am basically throwing for my team.

am i just never supposed to practice other agents? or am i supposed to ruin your game because i picked jett and have only played her 10 times?

We all started with no knowledge and just picked a agent for fun, then we became good with it.
So why cant we do the same process again?
Playing the agent in lower elos wont bring you anything and wont teach you anything, playing it against similarly skilled opponents will accelerate the learning process because you get challenged.
