Hltv is owned by a company and has a whole deals with betting sponsors so they need to look nice to get clients.
while vlr is funded by Google adsense which is basically just ads so that they can maintain the thing and once in a while they do add some nice features

im ngl HLTV seems very convoluted and ugly to me. VLR needs more stuff but i wouldn't like it to be HLTV either. maybe some balance would be good
