Best comp for each map?

Pretend that no matter what agents you pick, the players are gonna be the best for that pick. Region doesn't matter, just best comp overall. Pro game focused, these comps probably wouldn't work as well in ranked

Haven:

  • Jett
  • Sova
  • Cypher
  • Astra
  • Skye/KayO

Ascent:

  • Jett
  • Sova
  • Killjoy
  • KayO
  • Astra

Bind:

  • Raze
  • Astra
  • Viper
  • Skye/KayO
  • Chamber

Split:

  • Raze
  • KayO/Breach/Skye
  • Chamber
  • Viper
  • Astra

Icebox:

  • Viper
  • Jett
  • Sage
  • Sova
  • Killjoy (You can actually put almost anything here, KayO, Raze, maybe Chamber, maybe Astra, not sure what works best)

Breeze:

  • Jett
  • Skye
  • Viper
  • Chamber
  • Sova

Fracture:

  • Raze
  • Viper
  • Astra
  • Breach
  • Chamber

Admittedly I don't know much so what does everyone else think?

these comps dont really work when ur team isnt comfortable on these agents. thats why every team runs different comps and plays differently

It honestly depends on the team and what level of gameplay is available. Sentinels? Double duelist on fracture. Cloud 9? Breach, KJ and no Viper on split. Whatever works best is based on team.

I think kayo over skye on breeze, and on split idk if viper is necessary but otherwise I basically agree

Tbh stopped reading after 'Region doesn't matter'. First of all, there is no 'Best comp'. Bro you're forgetting that a 'composition' means a combination of constituents/or in the way in which a whole or mixture for example is made up. Every agent can be countered by a certain set and a comp can be countered by a certain different comp as well. There is no 'best', you have to adapt and be comfortable with changing dynamics depending on who you're against and what you're up to as a team. I have to agree with the previous comments on why different teams run different comps and how level of play is a factor as well. Just my two cents.

and a lot of those teams lose to teams that can run it.

I'm not trying to say these comps would win 100% of the time, or that teams should only try to run the "best" comps (acend won champs with a comp straight out of the beta) but if you had to make a guess, with all else being equal, what would you think is the best comp for each map in your opinion?

i mean yeah these are just my guesses on what agents work best as a team in general on these maps. you could easily look at these comps and pick a different set of 5 that would counter them, but I just wanted to put this out there as a thought experiment.

I respect that. Maybe that's what sets Valorant apart from other tac shooters. There's literally new things that works and there might be new things that can work better sooner or later who knows right. Right now even established pro teams are still experimenting with different things that can work/ fail in the long run. Keeps the community engaged and fascinated with different things every tournament as well.

i disagree with killjoy in icebox, i think kayo or reyna works best in such a long distance map

Keyd vs Sharks were a great example of it.
In Fracture they didn't go with Breach instead they chose killjoy and even they were a better team they get destroyed in the defense side. Breach were always putting them out of position.

I really don't get why they picked kayo and kj instead of breach and cypher. I think they lost the map because of the comp.
