Why did you guys start larping about the football WC like you've been watching since you were 5?

I've been watching football and wc since 2010 and have never seen this many larpers ever. Mfs be saying shit like the refs are paid for Messi and Argentina, where were you guys during the 2014 world cup? Shit ain't paid for no one. Especially not after the 2015-16 FIFA scandal. Goals get turned over all the time, but u wouldn't know obviously cuz you've only watched like 20 football matches in your life and larped about it on twitter to other americans who are just as clueless as you.

Genuinely bewildering how many ppl are larping online. It's not just about Messi either, but obviously it's like a hivemind, so they just say the same shit to fit in.

i mean they arent wrong argentina have been gifted extremely hard this world cup, even more than 2022 if you can believe it

no reviews when they make full studs up challenges or when mac allister potentially fouls to win the ball back right before a goal but then they get penalties like the one today?? it's pathetic and blatant and im probably falling for ragebait despite not even being american which is probably quite impressive

if messi scored that pen it would be far worse just because he didnt people forgot about it? idk it was a disgusting pen to award and further proof that almost every call goes their way u cant even call it football anymore

happens every other match, but because it's Messi specifically ppl just go nuclear. I genuinely can not fathom how ppl can think that after the 2015 FIFA scandal, FIFA, the refs or anyone for that matter would have the balls to rig a match.

Bad calls, good calls are made by refs and it's very common they overturn a goal or don't call a pen for smth thats obv should be a pen, but ppl want to fit in so bad that they larp about how it's rigged just for Messi "every match". Insanity.

idc about messi specifically but when argentina get consistently favoured over and over again winning every "questionable" call, not having their stuff reviewed but having reviews for them it's pretty clear something unfair is going on

argentina are a quality team regardless and even with a more neutral ref they would be deserving heavy favourites vs austria, algeria, cape verde, egypt

i do agree though there are disgustingly awful calls very often this wc. people didnt say a damn thing about belgium's 121m penalty vs senegal because the story was on their 2 goal choke but my god that was one of the worst pens awarded i've ever seen in my life, croatia were robbed hard af too.

"clear and obvious error" basically means they will intervene whenever they want to and avoid intervening when they dont depending on who they wanna favour

people gotta stop overreacting like it's a team thing, Argentina and Messi has nothing to do with it. Yes some ppl been blaming refs, but 80% of the hate goes towards teams and players for no reason. Like why are they targeting the wrong people? Just say the refs are shit and leave the teams and players out of it.

yeah idk they're just playing the game not their fault what the refs do. i personally do have distaste for the fans who wont just accept/say "yeah we got gifted a pen we didnt deserve" and things like that but instead try to argue and pretend tho

england didnt deserve to beat ghana they shoulda had a pen against us
