this is just turned to the advantage of emea, if you give 20/(team placement) points to a team, give a coefficient of 1.5 for bangkok, 2 for ewc and toronto and 3 for champs, you get 5.80 for apac, 4.85 for emea and americas, 2.65 for cn, and still, you could argue that ewc isnt toronto level, and that it is bangkok level, which would take the ranking to 5.87 for apac, 5.10 for amer, 4.72, 2.67 for cn
