Hey everyone, me and my family are raising money to help my brother with rehabilitation. His story is explained in the link below. Any help will be much appreciated ❤️❤️

Help me get back to life after two strokes

My name is Krzysztof, I'm 32 years old. Until recently, I led a normal, active life—working, spending time with loved ones, having plans, dreams, and a normal, everyday life that I couldn't even appreciate at the time. I never imagined that everything could come to a halt in an instant.

In May 2025, I suffered two ischemic strokes. The second was devastating, leaving me quadriplegic. I couldn't move, speak, or even eat on my own. I required intubation and PEG feeding. Overnight, I became completely dependent on other people.

The hardest part, however, was hearing that virtually no one gave me any chance of improvement. Rehabilitation centers refused to admit me, both privately and through the National Health Fund. For many, I was a hopeless case. At 32, I ended up in a retirement home in Szelejewo Drugie – a place where people at the end of their lives go, while I was just beginning my adult life.

I can't describe what it feels like to be a person who, moments ago, was capable, independent, and full of plans, and suddenly finds themselves unable to perform even the simplest task without the help of another person. Every day was a struggle with pain, helplessness, and the fear that I would never return to normal.

Thanks to my parents' immense determination, at the end of August 2025, I was admitted to the Bonifraterskie Medical Center in Piaski, where I remain to this day. It was there that I got my chance. Every day, I fight for every movement, every gesture, and every next step. The rehabilitation is very difficult, but I don't give up. I give it my all, despite the pain, fatigue, and moments of doubt.

Today, the first results of this struggle are visible – I'm starting to take my first independent steps. For many people, this is something ordinary. For me, it's a huge victory and gives me hope that someday I'll regain at least a part of my former life.

Unfortunately, the costs of continued treatment and rehabilitation are enormous, and our financial resources are slowly dwindling. Discontinuing therapy would mean halting the progress achieved through months of hard work. I know I still have a very long road ahead of me, but for the first time in months, I truly feel like I have a chance to return to life.

That's why I'm asking for your help. Every donation, every share of this fundraiser, gives me the opportunity to continue my rehabilitation and fight for independence. I'm only 32 years old. I'd like to live a normal life again someday, to go for walks alone, to see loved ones without the help of others, to regain at least some of what the disease has taken from me.

Thank you to everyone who decides to support me. Your help gives me more than rehabilitation—it gives me hope.
I am a beneficiary of the Avalon Foundation. My sub-account number is: 21222
