just because what he did was so unprofessional, plus c9 players themselves are in cali, so texas affects them just as badly
I kinda see both points but I kinda agree with C9 bcs the ping difference is equal and that makes it more fair
also one Riot sponsor is expressVPN a fucking gaming oriented vpn to reduce ping. (even tho I would never recomend this vpn to anyone else)
I don't trust the owners of almost all VPN providers and expressVPN is no different
all the most popular vpn's come from that one country... would you trust them with your data ?
texas seems pretty reasonable to me. idk why poppin is so mad about it. everyone plays on similiar ping
I am posting my reply from another post:
Poppin's complaint is 100% valid and he did it before the game too and not just after (public twiiter thread could be an issue).
Even though it's a very small sample size but whenever the data is skewed due to outliers, it's standard to take median rather than mean as a middle value (or you could treat the outlier and then take mean).
Now the rulebook may or may not explicitly states average/mean to be considered but it's a common sense to go for cali server since 9/10 people would get 10 ping.
