Aren’t Americans the biggest consumers of ozempic - I don’t think the whole country wants to be fat, the rich ones can at least buy the meds to get the weight off

Also it’s so much cheaper to eat unhealthy food than to eat healthy food

It’s actually so sad that SNAP benefits will cover processed, frozen, unhealthy crap but not fresh stuff. And the obesity that results - the expensive weight loss medications are not covered by insurance unless they also have diabetes and meet certain other criteria

Basically the food industry and the government are fattening up the entire population and the solutions are gatekept behind money

it was around the same time as the #METOO movement. when Lizzo, Megan Trainor, etc all became big and popular. Promoting obesity disguised as "confidence"

I don't think anyone is happy being fat, and anyone saying that they'd rather stay fat instead of being fit or in shape are blatantly lying. It's simply a cope. For some people it's easier staying fat than it is losing weight. it's easy to get fat in America with all of the unhealthy food (genetics play a part too ofc).

Yeah I mean you can accept your weight and still try to be healthy (weight loss as a consequence of good food and exercise choices rather than the objective goal - that approach is a gateway to eating disorders).

Losing weight isn’t as easy as it seems from fitness influence content unfortunately. Food accessibility, miseducation about food and exercise, genetics, poverty, etc etc - too many contributors to blame for how hard it is to lose weight
