TOP 4 NA TEAMS

Its crazy how Sen losing to Kru who ended up almost beating Gambit in the semis has everyone saying they are done. They still consistently ran through NA competition and finished first in Masters 1 & 2. Their only NA losses in major tourneys were BBG (the GOAT), AndBox when they first got TenZ, and NV at Berlin.

My ranking would be
1a. NV - Still think they are the most fundamentally sound aim and strats wise, and will give them benefit of the doubt for poor performance at Champs w/ Victor getting covid
1b. Sen - Consistently top results but concerns w/ players not being comfortable w/ agents that fit meta. The gap between NV and Sen is razor thin

  1. C9 - Very good late year performance but will need to see more consistency from Xeppa and the team in 2022
  2. 100T - People are heavily discounting 100T but BabyJ is prob one of the best fragging sentinel players and ec1s EU IGL experience can provide a unique perspective. If Asuna and Ethan continue to play great together, 100T is a dark house to become a top team in NA.

What about XSET? Cryo is a great player but he hasn't played in any t1 tourneys. Going up against t2 and unsigned orgs is one thing, but at XSET he will have to go up against guys like TenZ, yay, Asuna, leaf, Sick, Ethan, crashies, ShahZ, etc. So until we see him play at the level people expect him to play at, XSET is still a team that had consistently struggled against the top teams so its tough to give them the benefit of the doubt.

people are honestly underrating 100t
but i see ec1 and babyj as solid pickups
and they should still be 4th best team at least

BabyJ good pickup

Ec1s needs to prove himself, he was not very good on any of his teams.

yeah but dont see anyone that was really worth for 100t as a controller igl
so maybe gambling in an European is a good choice?

Supamen was available to be bought out

Supa is not an IGL, plus it's reported that Rise is trying to sell the core to a different org so not sure if the deal would work for just 1 player

Ec1s still need to prove himself in t1

T1 seems better on paper

T1 does seem decent on paper, but the roles are kind of weird (pwny on smokes???)

i guess pwny on smokes its ok when you have Seven on duelist. much respect to pwny for his flexibility, it will definetelly pay off in future as valorant will become big at agent pool and ban system. so those only "one trick" jetts will become useless

I mean I don't really like your logic, liquid beat kru very easily and kru had a close fight against gambit so in theory liquid should demolish gambit which is obviously not true, I do agree tho, sentinels are not bad at all, they had close games against good teams.

My point though is that Sen losing to Kru is not some massive game changing upset. Sure the expectations may have been higher for Sen, but Kru showed in the big stage that they were a contender for the title

Yeah sentinels isn't even a bad team, vlr and reddit just try to convince you that they are

its funny to value sens early 2021 success when the game has changed so much so those mickey mouse trophies are irrelevant

Considering the fact that they wiped the floor with NA teams in the Challengers playoffs [dropped only 1 map the whole tournament] for Masters 3, their success is still relevant. I'm not trying to say Sen is the best team in the world, which they are clearly not. But, its unfair to put other NA teams in front of them when only 2 NA teams has beaten them since Masters 2 opens and having won every NA challengers finals

sentinels also lost to Xset at challengers 1 season3 upper bracket. https://liquipedia.net/valorant/VALORANT_Champions_Tour/2021/North_America/Stage_3/Challengers_1

Cryo is God tier Jett same level as tenz and yay and Xset will dominate this time

I have said this before but ec1s is the key to success for 100t

Sentinels are best in the NA region

C9 is also really good

Envy is the most "complete" team in NA as they have "best" players in each role.

NA is a really good region and we will have fun

As a 100T fan, I think XSET should be above them as of right now. I'll take 100T on LAN every day but as far as online play goes, I think Xset is better.

Based off current roster? maybe. But 100t outperformed xset in every way last year. Even online.

Why would I be talking about the last roster lmao

I say that because you were talking like what you were saying is fact. But we literally haven’t seen either current roster play online or lan so how tf could you put either team above the other based off of the current roster when we have no clue what either will look like. Like you know absolutely nothing about how either roster will perform except based on past performance. And past performance puts 100t above xset.

Its recency bias really. Its really hard to judge and make a list of the top 3 NA teams. They haven't played each other in months so its not as clear as it used to be.

I like your list. Very similar to mine.

Nv / Sen
C9
100t /xset
