They grabbed the best player in CN last second (s1mon) and everyone expected him to be a slight upgrade but nothing more since nobody knew that "Good" and "chinese player" could go in the same sentence when it wasn't referring to kangkang.

EDG look bad because they stopped innovating and started replicating. With the Neon meta they really took advantage of that and structured it around there. Their instant reclears at the time were very good. During Bangkok, they placed top 3…despite this they still felt some desperate need to play Yoru and this led to the whole situation. Ever since then, they haven’t been comfortable whatsoever. They still have no identity. They keep copying what the other teams play. It’s really aggravating as a fan and we are still waiting for them to fix out the cohesional issues and build their own identity in this meta.
TH isn't irrelevant, 5-6th at champs isn't thaaat bad. RN they're in a bad form since comeback can't speak english very well and coaches have been filling his place in scrims + terrorist comps (which IMO is just a really bad player sign from heretics and unless comebacks truly is good then TH is going into a slump).
