And put china back into the apac circuit so we can actually see actual valorant? If anything this makes it better for china, apac players would no longer be imports. Meaning a chinese team can use their cracked chinese players and put them on a team with good apac players and maybe DO SOMETHING. This allows apac teams to do the same as well, they can grab good chinese players and some apac players!!
Imagine Zmjjkk on a team with players like meteor and munchkin. That shit could feed generations.
It also allows chinese teams to show that they can make it into tier 1 vct without 12 free slots. Riot making china a whole league feels more like an insult to chinese players and teams to me. Let them prove they have what it takes like everyone else.

I’m all for chinese valorant, I want the scene to get attention and for the teams and players to do great things. I just think vct china is just a giant pity point for a region that allows them to not try as hard.

Never going to happen. If they do so, they lose all viewership from China and valorant in China goes dead. There are almost no professional esports game that does not let China have their own region.

And you wanting to see zmjjkk with meteor and munchkin will never happen. Top class korean players dont really need to move to chinese team, and chinese players do not move to Korean team (make more money in China and language issues)
Korean teams usually only accept Korean players unless they from the start runs the team in English like previous T1 but that usually dont work out well.

Dispand China and give all of our spots to Africa and OCE

split apac into two regions
split americas into two regions

allow second import within the west and east world (for example: EMEA can import 2nd player from Americas, but they can't from Pacific or China)

change the league to be more like qualifiers (something that riot are probably planning for 2027)
make masters 24-team tournament - trust me im cooking
groups like in cs, or even more divided
for now give all the regions 4 teams, but can be change soon

then keep champions 16-team
global top 4 teams from points are promoted
1 slot per region (6 total) for the best region
1 slot per region for LCQ tournaments

still it's coming from 25% to 17% be chinese team, but i believe it will fix it

The problem is we kinda see CN in internationals, and yes theyre underwhelming.
But the Regional quality, the crowd, the viewership, all of those factors made keeping CN as 1 region worth the investments. They are even able to absorb some of the APAC and EMEA talents like splash, rarga, delb, Autumn, stew etc.

The money VCT CN has given alone gave them the right to that 1 league format. And in the financial pov they may have helped the other regions, indirectly.
