How did you develop an interest for the team you support?
I personally found it really hard to get into Vct cn because the streams were always in Chinese so casters were a language barrier
I guess if you speak Chinese that kinda answers my question on its own
Also I’m kinda tempted to exclude Edg fans from this because they won champs and have always had a fanbase
During stage 1 of 2024 I was up last watching VCT pacific but the pacific game was terrible and DRG was on at the same time so I decided to watch that instead and it was love at first sight.
Also I personally don't mind the Chinese broadcast despite not speaking Chinese because the casters always have so much energy.

I don’t doubt their talent but I just couldn’t watch a game where I don’t understand what the people are saying
When chinese teams were just invites, I got interested in looking into the scene. They had some qualifiers, where I saw that TYLOO was doing pretty well. So, when the league started I decided that TYL will be my team in CN. And then I just got attached, it was a fun experience watching the wacky playstyle, hoping to see them win just one game lmao. And in December of 2024 they signed slowly, and the rest is history
But speaking of casting, I found Ryancentral who would watchparty the CN league. Now bigger streamers do that too + Project Horizon was created, which made the viewing experience much better
Tbh yeah having someone watch party in a language you understand would probably make it a lot easier to enjoy the games

DRG are just too fun, I predicted their split 2 run and vo0kashuu is a fascinating player and I have so much hope for SpiritZ1 in the future

I used to consider ag one of the biggest meme teams ever because they quite literally acquired all the gamers
But I kinda root for them a bit nowadays
