not everyone that has a bad game in lower level lobbies is boosted u know

may be 3 reasons
1 - your mmr is high
2 - the mmr of the plat is low
3 - they were premade

Unranked is a different story, u can be in any rank when u dont have a rank yet.

It's the matchmaking balance. More the win streak, higher the opponents and vice versa.
My main acc is g1, smufed in bronze and after a few wins i got a plat player in my lobby(who btw bottom fragged the whole match).

your jett was probably smurfing and boosting sova and so his mmr was high and you got queued with him

i don't get how sova is gold. yeah prolly smurfing. they were in the same party.
