In the past, we’ve always valued masters 2 over masters 1 due to kickoff format and 8 team masters, but with these new changes how big is the diff between them, if any at all

There isnt other than experience on lan for players (specially rookies)
no difference now masters Madrid and Bangkok will forever be known as mickey mouse trophies
Lock in equal to 12 team masters idk, like, single elim really removes any comeback chances, and many of the winning teams come from these losers brackets...
if you don't come into a tournament prepped to win already you deserve to go home imo but i understand that single elim brackets for every international would become stale very quickly.
it was just after franchising was introduced most teams were newly built and no kick off too so it was just based on luck if fnatc faced nrg instead sen pretty sure they would have lost
for sure bro NRG couldn't even beat Fnatic with prep time lol

id still value masters 2 abit more due to shit teams like vitality 2025 and edg 2025 getting top 4
Pretty much lan experience and getting used to it is how vit and edg won
Only reason you rank masters 2 higher is cause shit team called 100t made top 4 in Shanghai. Still tho the overall competition was so ass on Shanghai. Only geng and th were good.
There will not be as many trophy winning level teams in the first masters no matter what happens sadly since teams figure things out as the year goes on.
