Ima make threads about this until it happens, so mods explain how crazy raccoon, a team who competed in champs, two masters, and was still fielding teams in challengers until 2023, doesn't have a flair but:
- Immortals do (have not competed in anything since 2021, and made 0 internationals)
-carleton ravens (?) are we adding just all the collegiate teams? even ones who had 0 impact or name value or any in the history of the game?
i could genuinely pick through all the other teams alone but it seems like the NA selections are the most egregious of them all, Moon Raccoons and Nearest Airport are also insane and nobody has ever heard of these teams but somehow they have a flair over orgs who have made a name for themselves in and out of valorant. the criteria for having a flair should not be this contentious, dare i say clearly biased towards teams of the north american region (#noticing). I'm happy that there are as many flairs as there are, but if teams that couldn't make it out of the round of 128 in challengers qualifiers have a flair, to me it seems obvious that a team with name recognition and who has been to the biggest stages of the game should have it as well.
tl;dr: the flair criteria makes zero sense. flairs for small teams are fine but they should not be at the expense of teams who deserve them infinitely more. more flairs, anyone should be able to represent the teams that they want!!!
