tldr where pcf rumours
idc abt th comeback, mibr zekken, tl wayne, ge frost, or any of that other stuff, WHAT HAPPENED TO THE BCF RUMOURS. i know that the rumours of all of pcf going to base bbl is mostly consistent, but whats going on other than that? i know that there were rumours about riot investigation/partnership evaluation, but… we wouldve heard something if:
- riot was actually doing an investigation (unless they do a thorough investigation for every ascension team, in which case this point is moot)
- they were considering cutting them from vct (either academy distinction or pcific espor monetary readiness)
right? theres no way theyre letting this happen right? blatant academy disguised as an affiliate team and they do nothing? but if they were doing something, wouldnt we have heard some actual news? contracts ending, any sort of org-riot meeting news, anything?
i guess im mostly wondering for mdr/dsy, cuz it fucks them up if they dont know whether they get to go to tier 1 or not. theres rumours of tl waddle, but would he go as quickly if his original org goes to vct?
this brings me to the next part - what would riot do if they do demote pcf? would they just promote dsy (which would make the most sense, mdr werent directly tied to pcf making it or not), or a final bo5 for the slot?
i guess it is only a month into the offseason, but the offseason is pretty much exactly 3 months so they need to make a decision. maybe they already have, but not telling us whether they would be bcf or pcf in t1 is.. a choice.
