QUESTION ABOUT NA AND EU

Serious question. What must be the reason why NA is somehow inferior to EU in esports (Dota 2, Val, CS)? Isn't NA population is bigger than EU? Is it because of lack of national sentiment? Or average IQ? What else? Enlighten me. I'm new to esports and didn't come from NA nor EU

Also you’re counting Mexico in the NA numbers when it’s not in the NA region so subtract 126m

Computer gaming was never that popular in NA. Only in the past couple years has it started growing in popularity. It seems in EU lots of kids start off with computer gaming while kids in NA usually start with console gaming

NA has less pc gamers and more console “gamers”. And yes work ethic is a problem but it’s not the only reason, the biggest reason is simply a smaller talent pool.

one thing no one has mentioned is the national scenes in EU... the regional french/spanish/etc tournaments promote more people to play the game and bring about more younger upcoming talent

Pretty sure even if NA were bigger than EU, EU has more PC players. Also I think NA tends to be consistently inconsistent when it comes to performance in any game, IDK why. My theory is that capitalism is getting so bad in NA, and it's giving us all ADHD.

So basic. Eu is developmental ,Na is entrepreneur. Eu always tries to improve itself because it is a mentality from the past but Na just tries how do make more money cause NA BEEN ALWAYS ENTREPRENEUR OF THİS WORLD

I think u're right. I also don't see the same passion of EU on NA players. I think a factor of this is the source of motivation. Money vs Country's pride

Actually when na players start making money they are lose motivation and desire to win. İ thing this is because na mentality. If any American starts making money it seems like he has achieved his original wish

IDK. Even though the populations for the two region are comparable I believe that in NA console gaming takes away more of the potential player base. But still. It could be the culture and stigmas around PC gaming in NA. In NA PC gamers are generally thought of as the nerds and "uncool" people.
