yea but like not all of them have to be forced to take classes
some of them can be like a uni guest player
If you were a STUDENT of A SCHOOL that you WILLINGLY applied to and got accepted to-(edit: and paying money to go to) -would u just sit ur ass down and play valorant instead of focusing on your major?
if governor or infiltrator got a t1 offer then yeah, they would instantly jump ship
but they haven't yet, and there's no guarantee that they will. yes, if they play well enough they might get an offer, but they probably want to have something to fall back on after valorant.
Governor isn't at Winthrop. Since Winthrop is a challengers team, they're allowed to sign other players outside of the uni
no like maybe 3 of them can be an actual student and rest of them can be filled with the guests of university that plays for their team y know
Why is winthrop as a university gonna go out of their way to fund an esports program for players than arent even paying tuition?
tuition of 3 students are still a lot tho

Think about it, have you ever heard of Winthrop outside of esports? No. Why? Because Winthrop is an esports organization masquerading as a University
