ppl really hate on termi but dude has been there from the vision strikers days and some of their strats have had massive impact even to this day. He also has made multiple intls with drx and is currently on his best run so far? Objectively, where do you think he belongs in this list?

not even the only event, that one series vs drx was the only time i've seen him make a questionable coaching decision and ngl from what he said during the press conference it seemed like internally it wasn't that bad of an idea (he had confidence in g2's prep on the maps they played, so u can't blame him for picking those maps if he truly believed they were good on them)

this is for franchising era tho i honestly have no clue who would be top 5 coaches oat ngl u have too many coaches with success on one team for one season (fr0d, chet, potter, d00mbr0s for example)
termi is probably in the convo for top 5 oat given he's had consistent results with different rosters tho
solo and kaplan are still unproven even though they did win titles. The problem lies in their inconsistency and the fact that they are also fairly new to tier 1 valo.
its kinda like asking is Demon1 the goat cuz he had one year out of his three years where he had a perfect performance. Or another example would be Chet. Do we consider him a goat coach because he made so many LANs with a perfect team?
a good coach is someone who can keep with the team and the meta.
termi has done that with his long lasting experience on DRX although the achievements don’t match
mini has proven it with FNATIC to the point where he can easily be a GM for a team
alecks has always helped PRX reach every LAN regardless of how poorly certain players played
this might be crazy but afteR could be up there with EDG although he is struggling now with a bad team.
geng made 5/6 finals in 2024 and looked dominant in toronto with 2 new players. they beat both finalists at the tourney. from a macro standpoint i don't think they regressed one bit. they also came 3rd in kickoff going map 5 vs t1 and placed 2nd in stage 1.
a similar case can be argued for sen tbh, losing tenz and sacy and sen still qualified to all 3 events and made a decent placement (5th 6th) at toronto with 2 new players. they also performed well regionally.
termi has proved his consistency, same with mini
mini has proven it with FNATIC to the point where he can easily be a GM for a team
(btw, being a good coach does not automatically make you a gm. it's not a promotion. one is a position in an org, the other is a position in a team. they are 2 different things)
alecks always had the same 4 players on his team since 2022 until early 2025, which probably helps ngl. but i agree he is top 5.
after is an interesting shout but considering the circumstances around china as a region at the time alongside the fact edg didn't have any noticeably high placements i don't think he makes the cut. geng, sen, drx, fnc, prx all have one podium finish to speak to the peaks of the team. maybe muggle is a better choice
