if you have thanos on the team, you shouldnt care about the "meta". Yes yoru is the meta but if you have 2018 Lebron on your team, you're not making him play center when he can play point guard/sf

i feel like other teams this year could've done the same, like Lev and Demon1, EDG and KK, 100t and cryo etc.

YEA some of the coaches are some Clueless, they think they know the meta and copy what the best team is doing and force their players on agents they dont have enough practice on compared to the players on the other team.... Thankfully Frod wasnt an actual Fraud to force aspas on Yoru and let him play his game

comfort will always win.

Yeah coaches gotta know which suits their team better for now but eventually players with better agent pool will overcome this problem. Players with limited agent pool will be forgotten

I've always thought that forcing players to play on uncomfortable roles just to be "meta" was a dumb idea, stick to what the player has mastered, like woot for example, put this man on jett who cares that yoru is the most meta pick if he doesn't know how to play it as well you'll end up getting less value from it

this is very true, in drx's situation, freeing's sova and beyn's sentinel is very hard to look at

this applies to prx as well. they looked shaky in stage 1 prior to making it to toronto cause they tried playing meta comps and making something and jinggg (two players who were heavily critiqued for being one tricks) play multiple agents of multiple roles. They eventually found the sweet spot with jinggg omen+raze, something yoru+sova as a kind of middle ground though

Something's yoru was kinda shaky at the start no? I think for him he's improved or gotten way more comfortable

yea the other thing is some of these coaches put players on some agent and if they dont pull of a miracle on their first game they just change it without giving them more time or experience, Something's first game on Yoru he went like 5/18 i thinkk

exactly, i have always advocated for comfort roles being prioritized over the meta stuff, its not like only a few agents are viable in val; why would i have bad performance on good agent, when i can have good performance on a mid agent
