Aight I’m gone again, they’ve lost their fucking rocker. Cryo is gonna join any team in the world and pop off.
bro when is everyone gonan realize cryo is not that good. plays shit for weeks has one good map where he hard carries and everyone thinks hes good. forces everyone to play uncomfortable roles cuz he can only play jett. he is a hindrance to any team
i used to love him but its time. i wish him luck, clearly mechanically gifted, but no team will succeed with him
when does he play like shit for weeks? R u stupid, he is clearly our best player and has been every year he is on the team. In 2023 he was the only positive that whole year. In 2024 his performance is the only reason we made it to shanghai, and again this year in 2025 he was the best player is stage one statistically of anybody in the league and has been constantly our best player. Every single player on the team would say the same.
ok fine i dont think hes shit
i just think that he is the core of the team for the past few years. asuna has never been the core. it was always cryo. and he has lead us to no success. hes a good player, it just hasnt worked, and i dont think it ever will (at least at 100t, he could find success elsewhere)
it's not that cryo is shit, it's just that the whole team bends over to make him as comfortable as possible and make sure he has all the tools for success. so it's expected that he performs well, or even really well every now and then. but simply put, he doesn't deliver often enough. he has really mediocre / under average games then an absolutely insane game which makes people think he's the second coming of jesus.
my goal isn't to hate on him, he has a future on sentinel. and i definitely agree that he is extremely gifted mechanically. but saying he's the best player on the team or refusing to acknowledge his faults gets you nowhere. eeiu is, by FAR the best player on the team. and it is NOT close.
Ya but your just talking out of your ass. The stats back up that he does deliver, literally always. Like I said this year he was the best player in Americas stage 1, and then the best player on 100t is stage two with Asuna close behind stat wise. How can you argue that he does not deliver often enough when the stats over the past three years show that he clearly performs the best on the team? I agree that he could be a sentinel player and is what I would try to switch him too as well, but I really don't think his flexibility is a big problem that everyone tries to make it out to be. He has looked good on smokes and has stated many times he is willing and even happy to play any role the team wants him to. Just because they think he is most valuable on duelist doesn't make him not flexible.
I really dont see how you are trying to fault him for "not being consistent" when his ceiling is the best in the world and his floor is still better than average. And the stats show that he hits his ceiling enough for him to be one of the best in americas. I agree eeiu is really good too but he wasnt the most consistent this year and is also has all of the problems you could try to argue that cryo has.
I'm not though. see you can look at stats and think he performed the entire time, but it, for the most part, is him having random ass crazy games. iirc he had a good stage 2 here in 2025. however for the most part he just has mediocre games or good enough games and a random ass insane game every now and then which inflates his stats.
now the flexibility part. it is, a, MASSIVE issue. i'll put it for you this way: you can quite literally say that cryo was like 70% of the reason why boostio became utter dogshit. boostio was performing well last year for the most part then when he had to switch to flex (mainly breach) alongside sentinel, he had to mix two completely polar opposite playstyles which absolutely annihilated his performance. not only that, boostio (a naturally aggressive player) had to play the most passive role in the game. and why did he have to? because cryocells can't play any duelist besides jett. which forces asuna to now play duelist, which now forces boostio to play flex.
and now, asuna is STILL being forced on duelist because cryo can't play that role. his yoru is NOT good. it is subpar at best. could it become good over the offseason? sure. but it is not good right now.
i'll give you the fact that his mechanical ceiling probably is one of the best in the world, but is that really worth having if you can instead get a player that is also insane but also plays all the duelists? i do think cryo can be good at sentinel which could open up a future for him. but his last showing on it wasnt great. he didn't look comfortable on the role.
eeiu does NOT have the same problems as cryo. the only thing they have in common is that they're both baiters. except eeiu's baiting is not a problem because that's how you're meant to play that role.
I understand your point and it could maybe be used for stage two last year and stage 2 but other than that it is not valid at all. He was top 3 in rating among the whole league for 3 out of the last 4 stages. You do not get that high by having random crazy ass games, it is only possible by consistently dominating throughout the whole split. Look game by game at his stats for all of them, there are no duds.
Next point, cryo was not the main boostio became horrible, that was boostios fault on his own being an idiot and making horrible desicions along with HORRIBLE aim. Boostio was most dominant on sentinel for 2023, it was his best role and what he played entirely. So the only argument to be had is that he was forced to play breach, which i agree is bad but that is not entirely cryos fault. Cryo showed good performances on smokes in general (brim on bind, astra on split, omen on ice box). He is more flexible than people give him credit for. I agree putting boostio on breach was a bad idea but i think that is more on the coaching and him who create the comps. And as far as eeiu having the same issues, he plays two agents only. I undrestand a scan initiator is important on practically every map but lets not act like he is any more flexible.
As far as cryo not being able to play all duelists i agree his yoru is not amazing, but i think it is still good. He put up good stats on it and showed a good conceptual understanding on how to play the agent, especially on defense. He is also top tier on jett and iso. I also dont really think his raze is too bad. I wish we would have just bought into that instead of switching asuna back on to raze after one off season performance where cryo didnt even look that bad on it. He is not a run it down shaky mouse crazy player like asuna but i really dont understand where this baiter thing comes from, he is naturally a very agressive player and looks to take fights, he just dosent always give his life away for no reason, especially when we had asuna who is a player that loves to do that.
But either way I agree I had already hoped we would move him to senti and pick up a all around duelist like timotino or somebody. I think the role would fit him well and he is not the kind of player you get rid of. Obviously his chamber is world class and he has performed well on sage. The other sentis he has played practically none of.
I kind of look at it like I do for NFL football if you know anything about that. A lot of teams make the mistake of drafting players and reaching for "positional needs". That is not how you create a good roster. You take the best talent available and build up a strong roster. If you have a player like cryo, you dont get rid of him if you want to win.
