I was trying to think what teams I expect to be good, and I figured I'd get some outside voices

S: TL G2 NRG

NRG might seem out of place with the big dogs, but I mostly put them here cause its the easiest map to call attack other than icebox and Mada will get to play jett OP crutch, which is where he shines the most.

A: PRX DRX T1 RRQ FNC MIBR

DRX roster shuffle stops me from putting them in S. MIBR T1, and RRQ have fantastic op players. FNC needs to put Alfa on the chamber and just play the G2 comp. PRX needs no words, debated putting them in S just cause its PRX

B: GX DRG SEN Heretics XLG

DRG plays some oddball comps, and with the potential Demon1 standin I can't rank them any lower or higher. Heretics are the perfect mid-table imo, where if you're better than them you're probably pretty good, but if worse, consider banning. SEN is just okay, Zekken op decent, but his rifle is just better. Same with Heretics. ARA is a good opper, nothing else to be said for them. Rarga makes or breaks this map for XLG

C: BLG EDG

BLG look much better when Whzy can play Neon/Raze which wont be happening here. EDG will either be S tier or C tier no inbetween. Sleeping giant ass team.

You can be the best team in the world and have one bad map, theres nothing wrong with BLG C when theres no reason to historically put them higher. PRX is A because they've literally never been great at the map, and I even said they are probably S. MIBR above SEN isnt that strange, Aspas is Americas top 1-3 opper and has had a lot of time to cook the map, while SEN hasnt been very inspiring historically.

Yeah fnc needs to be at C tier , they didn't figure out abyss in 2024 and weren't successful at it in 2025 as well

I originally had FNC as last place B but im just banking on Alfa Kaajak Chamber/Yoru hard carry comps to carry them to A tier

Yeah understand ur reasoning only problem is fnc had like 3 weeks of time to prep for champs and considering they prolly took a 4-5 day break and then adding on media and other stuff, it comes down to 2 weeks where I feel like they would rather wanna fix their stuff on other maps then trynna figure out a map they weren't successful on for a long time

Fair, I just dont think they need much time for this. The entire blueprint already exists just copy G2s everything and even if its not a perfect 1-1 they should be A tier purely on player quality.

your reason being they are undefeated doesn’t mean anything when he didn’t play a single good abyss team. Barely beating sen at bangkok despite winning double pistol. That’s my reasoning. Since champs last year no team has been able to even press DRX on abyss except vit, but only because we lost a stupid 2nd anti eco, and lost bonus round

Not to mention derke was on drugs that whole match

Even if DRX were the best abyss team all the teams I have in the S tier Now didnt play Tejo back in the day so their theory and ideas should translate to current meta much easier.

DRX were the best abyss team at champs last year by far and that was without tejo

And abyss is literally such a simple map that tejo doesn’t even affect anything.

DRX were the second best abyss team with Freeing dropping nukes on Tejo with a different roster. I do think they will be really good but switching IGLs and flicker/Beyn roster shuffle makes me wary.

I doubt NRG is S tier, they are A tier especially since previously abyss really didn't go that well and now role issues can be at play , DRX is S tier btw they had a damn good record on abyss last year and it did continue this year as well

NRG S tier is kind of a punt, but their defense sides are top top tier, attack side calling is pretty much just pop A, or pop B, Maybe throw a mid lurk in the late round. With Skuba and s0m they can play every variation of omen/astra/Vyse hell even chamber maybe.
