Maybe it's just me, but it makes the games even more enjoyable after you watch most of these players in the Pro City games and see them interact/play with other VCT players. I know most of these guys from watching Tier 2 but it makes me want to cheer them on more

I agree, ranked is borderline unplayable. It's insane that you are allowed to queue and just not use your mic at all... but the Pro City games from a viewer perspective are wayyy better + the pros don't seem miserable after the games like they do with ranked (no shit). Wish this game had FaceIt so casual players can also benefit from the Pro City type system
I'm genuinely curious how you don't own any type of mic in 2025 and I'm not saying you should be banned lol. At least for me, crybabies with egos and no mics are the biggest problem for me... the game itself is fine IMO and I win a majority of my games when people are engaged and talking. I just don't understand the point of playing ranked if you aren't going to talk when casual game modes exist.
TenZ is also dropping 30 kills every game yk that's not the same as some random person in ranked not using their mic. Not the best comparison, I think most people agree they don't care if someone isn't using a mic if they are carrying. The problem is people who are shitting the bed + not using mic to comm. They are pretty much bringing nothing of value to the team. At least if you're bottom frag and hard comming you are contributing in a way.
Call it ragebait or whatever but Tenz is not good for the game, all he does in his stream is complain about the issues wit the game and and goes on doing the exact thing. I rather watch oxy,zekken, Aspas. I have not come across any other pro who has played for as long as he did and only complain the entire time.
complaining ab no mic is kinda cringe. Yeah it sucks but cmon, every game has this issue. I would say no mic's is more of an issue in val but I think I know why. The main issue with val ranked scene is that the players are toxic/cringe which makes playing the game unpleasant. I don't blame no mic's bc in every game you have at least 1 kid on ur team who's a know it all and pointing blame at everyone and flaming u to a crisp if you don't ace every time a team hits ur site. Meanwhile they are double negative, I still do not understand this archetype of player. It's extremely prevalent in the val scene for some reason
It's cringe bc you are never going to win the fight against no mics. Also it sounds like a cope. I hit radiant as a no comm insta lock jett solo q, so it's quite literally a skill issue.
There are work arounds to people with no mic:
1) find a duo- if u can't take control of a game with a duo, it's a skill issue.
2) Comm for them- if it's defense, play the guy with no mic on a site with someone who does have a mic
3) IGL- On offense- as long as you have someone IGLing on offense what util is the no comm guy not using lmao.
Keep in mind, it's not just your team that has the no mic. The other team likely has a no mic too, so you are pretty much complaining about a fair game bc the other team is most likely dealing with the same issue.
Last thing- if no mics is the issue and not skill. Then how come we have all won those games where everyone locks duelist and nobody is using their mic. We have all also lost games where all 5 players have mics making coms. Just hit ur shots bro, u will rank up way faster than if ur teammate held V :)
I understand what you're saying but I'm just stating that it's annoying when people don't comm. I'm not calling for anyone to be banned or punished for it. I still win a lot in ranked and carry my own weight, but someone not talking is still annoying to me if they are bringing nothing else of value to the team. It's not like I'm a silver shitter either I've been Immortal 2-3 the last few acts, but I'm still allowed to be annoyed when people aren't talking. It's probably an issue for me because I constantly swap from playing CS FaceIt to playing VAL Ranked.
Yea i agree with you, it is very annoying when u have useless teammates that also don't comm. The disconnect we are having is that I've accepted that no mic's will always be a thing.
I would rather focus on what I can do rather than what I want someone else to do bc u just can't really control that.
Oh yeah, I know it will never be solved sorry if it came off as me thinking it will. Even in FaceIT, it can happen, but just less likely too. I agree with your 2nd point. Focusing on yourself is definitely the best thing you can do and is what I do every game. I don't micromanage people, but if I ask for a dart/smoke and someone refuses to do so, that's pretty much the only time it annoys me. Like you said, it will never be solved, but I was just stating that I don't understand why you'd ever want to play ranked if you don't plan to talk; that's the part that confuses me.
I kinda answered that with my initial post. It's pretty straightforward bro, toxic player base. You are seriously telling me you don't notice a difference in your CS teammates vs ur VAL teammates? For me it's night and day, in CS the players aren't degrading you for 1 little mistake. Hell, even if you lose the game the players in CS are telling you "have a good night guys". In val if u make 1 little mistake, these weird kids are talking about for the whole game.
Valorant players are just freaks bro and here is my proof that I know for a fact we have all witnessed:
You ever play a game where one kid is clearly trying his hardest to win, making comms, calling strats, etc. You can hear the passive aggressiveness of these players towards the player(s) on the team that is underperforming. With that being said, the tryhard never insults or says anything mean the whole game. BUT, once you either lose or win the game, that last 2 seconds where everyone is still connected to the game... BOOOM!! It all comes out: UNINSTALL!, NI**ER!, YOU ARE FUCKING HORRIBLE YOU FUCKING INBRED!!! YOU'RE NOT REAL!!!! YOU CREATURE!!!!!
That is point blank why valorant has more no comms than other games. I cannot explain it better than this. The community is filled with virgins.
If you're rebuttal is "oh well stop being sensitive" then you are part of the problem too. Nobody is playing a video game for an unpleasant time. So that's why you have all these no mics imo.
I agree with everything you just said. The Valorant fan base is very toxic and cringe. The egos you see in ranked play blow my mind. I'm not one to tilt easily, but someone talking to me passively aggressively or telling everyone the mistakes they made after a round is absolutely atrocious. You can see someone in CS make the most braindead play ever, and the team will just laugh at you and move on to the next round (most of the time), but in Valorant, if you make 1 mistake, you can have a teammate who will non-stop bring it up until the game ends. Don't get me wrong CS has people like this too and ik you are aware of that but I truly feel like people I play with on CS have a life outside the game where most people I interact with on Valorant are chronically online weirdos who's entire personalities are the game.
