EG full rebuild

hello potter and EG friends. please:
kyu (scan ini + IGL)
penny (duelist)
yay (senti + 2nd duelist flex)
spaz (controller)
nismo (flash ini + senti flex if running double duel)

thank you very much and hope to see this team next year as they'd probably own

edit to explain team dynamic:
standard comp maps: kyu scan ini, penny duelist, yay senti, spaz controller, nismo flash ini
double controller maps: kyu viper, penny duelist, yay senti, spaz omen, nismo flash ini
double senti maps: kyu general ini, penny duelist, yay senti (chamber if you'd like potter ^_^) spaz controller, nismo senti
double duelist maps: kyu scan ini, penny secondary duelist (yoru/phoenix or could raze), yay main duelist (jett probably), spaz controller, nismo senti

every single comp potter could come up with would work

I think this is one of the better rebuilds but I would keep derrek honestly in place of nismo

derrek's agent pool is a bit shallow, nismo has proven himself time and time again to be a flexible great player. a big bonus is that nismo has proven to be good on sentinel, meaning if yay plays jett and penny on a secondary duelist (yoru/phoenix) kyu can fill flash ini and nismo can flex to senti still making almost any comp work

both are good options but I would put my trust in derrek just because I am aware of what he is capable of, and as for his agent pool he has obviously shown willingness to learn and play other agents as he has now shifted to playing omen in their double smokes comps

either way I like this roster and could actually punch up, maybe even get mikes as an assistant coach

I can see that vision, I think either would be good choices but personally I would rather try someone else than derrek since he's been inconsistent for a while and I think nismo brings similar vibes and potentially a higher skill ceiling. to each their own, I think we both agree derrek or not the general comp would be better.

But 2nd duelist means yay has to play yoruor raze which he can't
Nismo can play raze tho....

2nd duelist doesn't mean secondary duelist, more means that yay would be sentinel normally but on two duelist maps yay can jett and then penny could move to secondary duelist roles which he is good at (yoru/phoenix)

Sounds fair enough and they could keep derrek tho his performance isn't that good but not bad either
His utility usage is just so better

Nah Kyu should go to a better team. Replace ethan if he retires, replace Zellsis if he shits the bed at champs, or get on 100T if they do a full rebuild. Wouldn't even mind him going to C9 to replace Xeppa.

I mean I think this EG rebuild would be the better team he'd want to join. he gets to play with yay + penny who proved themselves in T1 and along with having star t2 players like nismo (who he is already working with) and spaz

I think all the teams I listed would be better in terms of basically everything. Especially SEN when it comes to pay.

C9/EG are similar pay wise but I think having Oxy + a decent team instead of joining a potential failed rebuild with low pay.

that's fair but I really don't think any of those teams will take a chance on him, NRG is doing very well (don't think he'll retire), sen doesn't need an IGL and his roles wouldn't work well, 100T might rebuild so maybe there. C9 also doesn't need an IGL and they've done well too. I feel like EG is the most realistic and I have no doubt he'll do well and move up

Kyu can play the same agents as Zellsis. Also I think Kyu is worth the pickup even if he's not IGL'ing. Same reasoning for C9.

Also for NRG, it depends on if they make it to champs. If they make it, they'll probably keep the roster.

honestly just sign all of Cubert or Envy whatever team doesn't win Ascension because they are pretty good.
I forgot Cubert cant compete, but EG thats a free team way better than current EG imo. Probably keep Yay and build around him, he's proven himself as pretty good.
