Scenario : there is this rare variant of cowshit that is comfortable to wear(it still smells of shit and is brown with grass inside of it)
but its comfortable AF for you but everyone hates it

That's what I thought as well. Confidence in what you like to wear is definitely really good, but with what you said on how you wanted "other people's validation" then I guess in that scenario it just isn't best to buy it. That's just my thought process though, do whatever you want!!

both things can be true at the same time tho. Also I was curious if others have experienced a similar situation (or it's just me) and how they tackle it.
i'd say go for it,
first looks on a piece will usually be looked down upon, give them more time to look at it and it might grow on them
if not they'll just tell u that ur wearing that weird piece or you'll be remembered as the guy with the weird piece (which i fw heavy)
also, send the piece, interested in seeing it
Ofc I will buy IDC what others are gonna say simple even if it is my family
You shouldn’t be worrying at all the dress needs your validation first then others if you like it then you should buy it
i know first priority should be what you feel like, but at the same time time you don't want to look stupid wearing it. In my case I struggle with OCD , so decisions like that are hard to make even though they don't seem like hard decisions
Probably a confidence issue because of ocd only I can say then is good luck hope you find your answer
