They did, AQ now is the 11th place, and the 4th, 7th, 8th(2 teams tied for the 8th) and 10th places teams didn't pass the verification.
So they are the 6th place, even DRG and XLG will both play Ascension, AQ will also qualify for it.

It's definitely a choice to go through CN's ascension to rebuild your career. I wonder if any Tier 1 teams even offered to get S1mon since he is still a top tier initiator player despite his agent pool in the meta being so cooked. XLG seem a lot more stable with NoMan, but it would have been nice to see S1mon join a team like Wolves, Trace or anything in that ball park.

I was going to mention that - his alleged behaviour with management and work ethic in terms of practicing might have ruined his image despite still being one of the best flash initiator at the moment. It's definitely difficult for him regardless since teams want a Yoru player so they can play double duelist on maps like Lotus. Shame for S1mon, but he will probably be back in Tier 1 someday. Teams have to realise his quality especially since he was the difference maker in winning Champs or letting Seoul be another obscure tournament for them.
