League of Legends = soccer/european football. Most global esport, most watched, and revolves around regional-play qualifying to internationals (like champions league), and the sport is dominated by some regions (Europe/South America) vs (China/Korea)
Counter-Strike = Tennis. Mostly European dominated with some solid players from other regions but never dominant. Scene revolves around 4 major events (Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, US Open) vs (Katowice, Major 1, Cologne, Major 2) along with constantly having other smaller tournaments like the ATP series = smaller ESL/Blast
Call of Duty = American football. No one really cares outside of NA and it's the most american culturally.
MLBB: Cricket. No one cares outside of poverty regions.
Valorant: Pickeball. Easier ripoff of CS. Way more popular to play, but no serious esports scene
Any other suggestions?
