In 2025 fade is just better, the two dogs are better than skyes one dog, and the rechargeable eye gives better info than sky flashes anyways. Ult is generally better. Skyes kinda been hard nerfed from the flash change, you used to be able to use flash and dog to get constant b info and still get a third flash for retake.

Literally every flash initiator does rn tbf. Gekko may be okay but he's not quite a typical flash init

Nah but when teams do run Skye bind they run Gekko as well so that’s their third flash during retake

Then why not run fade anyways? Most of skyes flashes are used for info and not flashes, gekko has rechargeable flashes anyways, and fade gives better info util in every way anyway. Also, double init may lock you out of playing double smokes or duelist

That’s what a lot of teams opted to do in stage 2 last year. Some teams reverted back to the old Skye Gekko this year for some reason but that would be the logical explanation. Maybe it’s actually seeing the enemy is what they want (like scouting a judge or awp)
