I've heard people say this is going to kill NA tier 2 (and therefore tier 1 down the line)
im not sure whether to believe in all this or to just think its elite fearmongering

Definitely, it gave NA grafters a harder time to find a good Cs team (which were all European). Just caused a lot of trust issues for a while because they didn’t know how common it actually might be. Especially since prodigies like Brax risked it all, and if someone with that much potential threw it all away it would make you wonder how many others that lacked that skill are doing it too
