It's actually quite complicated. It cannot be denied that S1Mon does appear to have problems, with the entire EDG team coming out and criticizing him, with various pros within the CN scene backing them. On the other hand, according to leaked DMs, it may also be argued that the way EDG's manager, Aqua, treated S1Mon, was wrong. All in all, there are undoubtedly problems, and S1Mon will definitely leave EDG and probably has to change his ways to some degree. While it remains to be seen if any teams will want to pick him up at a moment's notice, his utility when he's feeling it is undeniably top of the class, and he will likely find a team.

With that being said, people on Twitter claiming that this is a political issue and bullying are just stupid.

I feel that s1mon got scapegoated hard, wich is a fairly common tactic for maintain the mental in kr/cn scene

s1mon sided with the viewers, potentially the same ones who's giving the 4 players hate during the Madrid/Shanghai times instead of his teammate. He became one of them.

You can't really get the full picture just from the leaked chats and 3rd party sources translating things to you. Benefit of the dout should be given to everyone. Me and you are not in the practice room with Simon and other players and staffs. Asians male are notoriously known to give a false sense of security where they will give out the vibe that they don't care but they actually do. I believe smoggy gave out the same vibe to Simon which Simon didn't like. Hence this heat.
