I was having a discussion with a few friend and we were talking about whether it would be better to have a fragging or calling igl.

I don't mean top frag necessarily but you need someone more like boaster, boo, nobody or nAts who can keep up and has the potential to carry and clutch when you need it instead of just dead weight.

FNS' tragic lurking, 0 crosshair placement and 1000 excuses are unacceptable. Scapegoating rookies to excuse your paycheck stealing...

And S0yf's incredibly basic inexperienced calling and rancid vibes also ain't gonna work. Derke performance is heavily vibes dependent and motherfucker over here isn't supplying them, is he.

Correction: I would rather have 2023 fnatic than any other. Boaster is a great igl, but he needed the rest of his players to mesh well with his calling. If your team is a bit more freeform and can have multiple callers, then a fragging igl is probably better, but it depends from team to team.

I kinda disagrees boaster was micro managing all 4 players compared to now where he has crashies who helps with mid rounding.

it was the same issue last year as well

Yeah, the absence of Leo hurt fnatic a bit last year. Leo was a great second caller. Now crashies is doing the job pretty well. Although Boaster has been decent to good shooter all this time. He had a bad 2024 year only. Although he was a clutch master in 2023.

It's more situational than just being one or the other. There's a lot of details that goes into valorant teams than just being this or that.

You would rather have a hard calling igl. A high fragging one is good but rather inconsistent in the midrounding only exception to this is Valyn

I think an IGL like Boo or Nobody is really good. They are good fraggers, but their aim seems unimpressive when put on a team with Woot and Kangkang.
Their calling is also good and both seem to make some questionable and risky plays, but don't let those plays affect their team on a whole level.

Hard Calling is what wins you tournaments. Having said that, you want both — like in a Valyn or Nobody.

its 2025. you need to have both. calling alone isn't enough to win anymore..... (fns). There is a reason why G2 are so dominant right now
