I recon the event was only sorta mickey mouse bc of the meta change 2 weeks before vct started, leaves more individually skilled teams at an advantage since nobody really knows how to play in this meta effectively
Thats actually mathematically impossible. Given that Masters Bangkok had 8 attendees, it's impossible for nobody to reach the third place.

I believe nobody plays for EDG, and im afraid they did not win this tournament.
Smart guy, figuring out the meta so fast.
They didn't fluke, they just went on a run. Look at the teams they defeated, it wasn't easy at all. They went through the mf'ing gaunlet to earn that trophy.
T1 didn't look that great before Bangkok, but they improved through the tournament. Not a mickey mouse win, just a team with talent peaking at the right time.
First event of the year is always a little random, between new rosters, new metas, and essentially unknown title contenders.
Like, EG '23? No chance anyone thought they would make deep runs
