Why tf does it struggle so much to download patches sometimes? Like straight up downloading at 0.1kb/s at some points

i used to turn on sleep mode for a bit and it would download fast but that didnt work today

Happens with everyone I know of, it's like they throttle it for whatever reason, however I found that closing browsers (especially Chromium based eg. Chrome, Brave, Opera etc) as well as Discord actually makes it go quicker.

yeah idk its crazy bc my games go like 150mb a second then I try downloading the 2gb update and it takes 15 minutes

You have to pause and unpause. Always works for me.

as far as im aware when it goes down to 0.01 they are just checking all the updated files to make sure they arent corupt, lots of launchers do it just at the end rather than throughout
