damn, icl I just hit ascendant 1, and for the first time I have like 50 rr instead of being on the brink of demotion recently and I'm feeling big which is why I asked. My duo is pretty good though
when i was like immo 2 240 rr i was getting radiant players sometimes in my games
hitting immo3 is not as hard but maintaining immo3 and getting high immo3 is hard
Hitting immortal 3 from immortal 1 was easier than hitting immortal 1 from ascendant 1. However, if its your first time hitting immortal 3 and you've never been playing at that level or been radiant before, the mmr system fucks you. You can match mvp win and gain like 15-16, sometimes a little less and maybe a little more, and if you lose in like a team mvp scenario, you will lose up to 30, mainly 24-25. It helps with a good duo, but Immo 1-2 and ascendant aren't that different. More comms, and people care more about the game. However, the egos get way bigger.
I'm asc 1 rn and on track to get asc 2, I only really play with my duo but he's not available all the time. Honestly Radiant is probably flat out impossible for me, I think the time commitment is just too much. I'll be happy if I can get immo 3 one day. My main issue (afaik) is just autopiloting and making bad decisions which I ordiniarily wouldn't whilst thinking. I also need to warm up more bc I find I aim shite for the first 1-3 games I play then I aim good afterwards. But yeah thanks it is reassuring to hear that asc 1 to immo 1 is harder
just have a good duo tbh. as long as you are skilled enough (mechanics and game sense), with a good duo you shouldn't have a problem. being the best player in the world with 4 bad teammates would even be hard to go from immo1 to immo3.
bro ngl yesterday I played against a kid that was rad #112 last act and he fucking shitting on me. He had the little triangle tank thing in so that's how I knew. Next game I had him on my team and he was shitting on the enemies. The gap is pretty big.
quick lucky streak and you’ll easily get to immo 3 without any skill improvements (lobby’s won’t improve either 🤣)
as a former low radiant I can say that immo2 is the ultimate barrier between the stupid players who have a huge ego and less stupid players who comm ok and dont have that much ego (they still do but that ego gets beaten up every time they meet high radiant players).
