KR/JP Scene

Due to Japan's Reykjavik and Berlin performances(though they are not over yet) I believe KR and JP scenes should be integrated.
Like EMEA, Turkey improved a lot after Reykjavik as in the form of SMB and for CIS, in the form of Gambit.
I think for JP teams to improve overall, they need to compete with KR, which is a close enough region.

what do you think?

JP temas not survive.

but they need to improve if they keep competing within their own scene, they will get rolled in every masters or international events

Yeah totally agree, by doing so JP/KR region as a whole should get 2 slots, (max to max 3) and SA will also get a chance to represent themselves at higher stage.

i think 3 is fine but i think due to japanese viewership, riot will keep JP scene as it is now

I feel like it's kind of like the turkish situation, with either one of two things happening:

1) The JP scene dies as they are unable to compete, leading to less viewers
2) The JP scene creates a superteam to rival KR teams (kinda like what SMB did in EMEA), strengthening the combined scene

totally agree i remember in 2020, Absolute Jupiter (currently Zeta division) could compete against VS (with glow&zest) even though they lost.
Now, it seems like they have no chance against VS.

I think JP should drop to 1 slot and BR too, KR with 2 slots is pretty good imo.

considering their viewership, 1 is too small.. but I agree that 2 is a lot for Japan. I dont know about BR i think 2 for BR is fine

shit will just be a repeat of apex legends where every org has japanese money and fanbase but the players are all korean

which would do the job for maintaining market share but realistically kill off odds of jp players having actual representation

hmm I havent thought about that. it would be a big problem.
But Riot has their policy of no more than 2 foreign players in a roster, and even now, NTH or CR all have 2 or more korean players,
so it wouldnt be a big problem right?

actually, nationality does matter in this region. It's just they have 2 players from Singapore and 1 player from Malaysia which is part of the qualification region. The foreigners are F0rsaken and mindfreak which is from Indonesia.

Only mindfreak and F0rsaken is foreign, because PRX is SG/MY not just SG.

Damn, if this system is applied we might not hear Japanese teams in International LAN matches.

JP 1.5 ticket, SEA1.5 ticket

JP 2nd team vs SEA 2nd team

1st place in each country goes straight

Hm... this is different case but as for PUBG, they always merge the playoff to world championship(if I'm not mistaken) and Japanese teams have improved significantly over the last few years. From getting eliminated in playoff (KR, Taiwan, JP) to somewhat competing.
Merging 2 region in valo however, might bring negative impact towards JP region but if it works well, we'll be able to see JP getting better resulting in more interesting games in future Masters!
