I don't get it. Why would you pick clove when you're running a triple controller comp. The whole gimmick of smoke after death seems useless given how harbors entire kit is smokes and omen has Rechargeable smokes too. They could have played a brimstone at that point, the Molly and ult is way better than cloves ult and the other ability.

Also put life on duelist who can escape to make aggressive plays like yoru, jett, raze, chamber or even Reyna. Him playing clove forces him to play passive unlike his style.

Yeah idk, they like their lots of smokes comps. The idea is probably let life (most of the times their best aimed) just take a duel and kill 1, and still have smokes

I agree Life is best suited for an aggressive playstyle. Clove allows him to keep that mentality and being able to really have round changing smokes when the harbor is down. Even if omen is alive it's rare for him to have both smokes up and ready so clove can really help them control a site.

that round where clove was pushed up deep in screens is why. Life can attempt to kill one deep and suprise the enemy. If he doesn't kill anyone, he just clove ults and gets an 2nd chance to frag out

Yes exactly, getting deep screens also buys time and gets info while FUT retake gets off timing.

they use clove to lurk like reyna. and utilise harbor wall to control some areas. thats the point of the comp. see how they use harbor wall to control icebox mid

Bro reyna shouldn't lurk.
Anyways ifhe wanted to lurk he could have played other agents which would enable him to be aggressive not clove. You easily will get traded.
I mean he could have played a sentinel, which would provide more value than clove tbh.

They need someone to get through the chokes, and an omen TP, and a clove sprinting it worked pretty well (They lost 2 attacking rounds)

Yeah the comp could have been better with life on jett or chamber taking that operator role with more flexibility and escape options

because life lurks on this map, so clove fits his play style. He can smoke for himself to add pressure, and given his insane aim, he will win lots of duels, and farm that ult
he used to run reyna but her ult is just too shit compared to clove
and also he doesn’t need the escape util because he never escapes after 1 fight lmao

If he wanted a smoke for himself he could have played jett and if he wanted to lurk he could lurked with jett or played a sentinel. Also what is their plan on defense. Their subset was incredible in defense because he would leave his tp in spawn and push so ahead. He cannot afford to this with clove is what I'm saying.
