Do you guys know this about the stage 2 format?

In stage 2, all the teams play the teams in their current group (we all know this). BUT, teams don’t start with a 0-0 record, they start with the record they had in stage 1. So say Loud goes 1-4 in stage 1, they wouldn’t start 0-0 in stage 2, they would start 1-4.

Also, top 6 teams in the leagues OVERALL qualify, not the top 3 from each group.

Maybe this was common knowledge but I wasn’t aware of this, and it has huge ramifications for teams like LOUD and T1 who will not be getting a fresh start in stage 2

Where'd you get this information? That would suck for Stage 2.

That makes sense, since the teams that make it to playoffs in stage 2 are decided by their OVERALL standings. Although having it reset at stage 2 then combining the total record of each team from both stage 1 and 2 would probably have been a better idea.

Nah this is better. Since the groups aren't balanced it means the top overall teams will go to champs, not the ones who lucked out in having an easier group.

that makes sense bc is a splited league, but at the same time is bad cuz if they rematch all the split 1 games in some months, surely 35% of results would be different

Yeah this is better than resetting for stage 2, but it would still be better if Riot did 2 full independent round robin splits like they first implied they would

11 teams make the round robin format difficult.
